“Handling the biggest hub in the Philippines with 300+ riders, 80 backroom associates, and with a massive daily order volume is a great challenge. In connection to that, having the responsibility of being intentional with each team member; learning their strengths, weaknesses, and using that knowledge to make sure they strive for self-improvement is one of the many things I am more than willing to do as the Metro Manila West Hub Supervisor.
I believe in building trust within the workspace. And with that belief, I keep my communication lines open 24/7 so that I can immediately attend to the hub’s concern. I make sure that I also mingle with the riders so that I’d get first-hand information on how to handle their issues and should they have inquiries about their deliverables.
I put it upon myself to inspire and motivate everyone under my team. There’s nothing more rewarding other than knowing that your team entrusted their full confidence on you, supporting you with the decisions you make with the security that those decisions will bear positive impact on them.”
Madel believes that good leadership is the one that achieves respect through humility. She also treasures her family beyond anything else, making sure she dedicates her weekends to her parents, nephew and niece, and of course spending fun bonding times with her furbabies of 3 dogs and 4 cats.
